Nail Polish of the Day: Etude House Petite Darling Nails PK006

I'm not sure if they still sell this at Etude House, but I really like this color! I always find myself reaching for this nail polish when I just want a simple yet pretty nail color. It's a light peach pink with subtle shimmer. If you like French manicure colors, you might want to try this.
This is one of those nail colors that make your nails and hands look clean. You will understand what I'm saying once you try it! The color also looks like something a princess would wear. It's classy and cute!
On a semi-related note, I also changed the shape of my nails. From square-shaped with rounded edges, they are now oval-shaped. I broke my nail a few days ago and it took the shape of an oval. I decided to file all my nails in the same way so they would look the same. I like this new shape more, but my mom told me if I style them this way, I'd have ingrowns! Is that true?

If you like the nail polish, it's 48 PHP and 2~3 coats is enough to get the color in the bottle.

Face of the Day: Summer Flower

This look was inspired by fresh summer flowers on a hot summer day. I wanted to create a lilac eye makeup look with rosy cheeks and a light pink lip.

Dear My!

There is this upcoming collection from Etude House that I've been waiting for to hit our local stores already. This new line is called "Dear My!" and it is being promoted by a series of Kiss Note videos featuring Sandara Park and SHINee. The short videos are so cute and they remind me so much of Death Note!

We can say that the star of the new collection is "Dear My Blooming Lips-talk!" It is a set of 24 spring/summer lip colors featuring pinks, reds, oranges and beiges. I am lusting over all the hot color picks. I know you are, too!

Aside from the lipsticks, I'm also eyeing this candy-colored nail collection, "Dear My Blooming Nails!" All the colors are so cute, they just make me want to purchase them all! They are made to match the lip colors.

"Dear My!"also includes two lip gloss sets, "Dear My Crystal Gloss" and "Dear My Milky Gloss!"

Crystal gloss has shimmers in it while Milky gloss does not. Look how cute the colors are! Tempting!

Another addition to the Dear My collection is a set of four baked blush duos!

These blushes are supposed to give a subtle sheen to the cheeks. I can't decide whether I'll be getting one because I'm not into blushes. I love the fact that they are blush duos, though. You can mix the colors or use them separately. Again, pretty color selection!

And finally, two pacts that have illuminating properties to make your skin look smoother and brighter to make you appear as if you are blooming! Plus points for having high SPF to fight the harmful rays of the sun in the coming hot summer days.

Etude House is coming up with a lot of new products lately! These are just new releases under the Dear My line. Etude House has other new products but they also discontinued most of their products like Aqua Cure Face Mist and Pure Joy Skin care line. Hopefully, I get to stock up on my favorites before they are gone!
Also, Etude, Y U do this? You're going to make me broke in the middle of summer. T.T

Hello! My grandmother from my mother's side recently came home from the US. She knows all about my makeup artist job right now so she gave me these cosmetics from Aziza!

If I remember correctly, they sell Aziza in Japan Home Center, Festival Mall. I wanted to buy so I'm really glad I got these as gifts instead. Thanks, Lola!

I picked out these three, because I didn't have these colors in my makeup kit yet. She brought more of these but I just picked the ones that were running low or I didn't have yet.

Black Eyeliners! I prefer pencil eyeliners because they're more hygienic.

Eye shadows! I really prefer compact eye shadow palettes like these rather than those palettes with almost 100 shadows. I might invest in one someday, but for now, I enjoy playing with these pre-made eye palettes. It's easier for me to determine which eye shadow colors match.

I might do a future review on these goodies. xx

Easy Gradient Nail Tutorial

Today I decided to make an easy nail tutorial. I accidentally created this nail art when I did my manicure last week. I noticed that the glittery nail polish I used reminded me so much of the galaxy. I added more glitter and I liked the final product very much!

For this tutorial, you will need:

Base Coat
Chrome Pink/ Gray or Silver Nail Polish
Glittery Pink/ Silver Nail Polish
Glittery Blue Nail Polish
Top Coat
I won't be asking you to use the same products that I did so I didn't bother naming them. These are just some polishes I hoarded from my grandmother. She has quite a lot and is really good with nail art. She used to paint flowers on my nails when I was little! Nursery- little!

Before I begin, I like to use a hand cream. This is Missing U Peach Panda from Etude House. So cute! I hope the design won't fade so I could re-use the container.

1. Start with clear nails. Shape them as you wish! I like to keep mine square with rounded edges.

 2. Apply your base coat first. Base coat will strengthen your nails and will also prevent your polish from chipping or peeling.

3. Apply base color that you want. Last time I used a gray base color for my nails to make the finish of the glittery polish more opaque. It highlighted the silver glitters more. This time, I want more feminine nails so I decided to try this chrome pink color!

Finish coating all your nails with the base color. One coat is enough.

4. Apply glittery nail polish all over your nails. One coat is enough. The pink base I applied earlier is peeking through the glittery polish over it.

Finish coating your nails with the glittery nail polish.

I like the effect of the pink color base more than the gray color base I used last week. It just gives this look a more girly feel!

5. Concentrate more color on the outer end of your nail to give it that gradient effect. Apply light  blue glitter nail polish on the outer end of your nail. Let it dry a bit before doing the next step.

6. Apply another coat of the light blue glitter polish over the first coat of light blue glitter polish. Go a little way past the line where the first coat of light blue polish meets the glittery pink to give that gradient effect.

Keep applying light blue glitter polish until you achieve desired intensity of color. Lastly, apply top coat!!!

FINISHED PRODUCT! Hmm, I think I picked out more Barbie colors than Galaxy colors, but I really like how it turned out!

SIDE NOTE: I was able to go with my family to the advance screening of The Hunger Games at SM Bicutan (or Bi-CUE-tan as my father called it. Haha) last night! I gotta say the story in the book was well portrayed throughout the movie! There were very little modifications but over all, it didn't disappoint! Even my parents liked it! Watch it for yourself and read the book, I swear you're gonna love it! I also dropped by the Etude House boutique in SM Bicutan and I found that theirs is well-stocked compared to other branches near home. I want to go back there! Someone please teach me how to commute to SM Bi-CUE-tan!

Also, after holding myself back for so long, I was finally able to try it! MAGNUM! I was only planning on buying two but, I ate three today (and never again, I hope). Hehehe. Yummy!!!!! Now I know why so many people are hooked! Seriously though, Chocolate has addictive properties, so be careful if you're on a diet! :)

Majolica Majorca Jeweling Eyes Quad RD784

I asked Ms. Angel, the one who always assists me when I visit Majolica Majorca Southmall, which quad is great for everyday and she suggested this one, RD784. I would say this palette leans on the coral family and if you are looking for a great alternative to the usual neutrals/browns you wear for everyday, you might as well give this one a try also.

The four eye shadows are encased in this clear plastic container. Majolica Majorca is well-known for their princess-y packaging with gold motif. I've had this quad for months now and the gold design on the top cover hasn't faded at all. I like it.

Good grief! I can't believe I am posting a picture from Calvin Klein's S/S collection last year but what can I do? This pair is my dream! Strappy heels ♥ Of course, I would prefer higher platforms. ;)
